We are in-network with most plans; however, coverage and eligible services vary by policy. We will need to verify your insurance benefits to determine your specific coverage details.
Please note: Some Aetna plans may require a co-pay or co-insurance for lactation consultations.
Aetna’s “6 covered lactation visits” does NOT mean 6 free visits. You may have an out-of-pocket cost depending on your plan, previous lactation services, and coverage for your baby.
We apologize for any inconvenience. At this time, we have temporarily paused insurance billing for BCBS plans. Until billing resumes, all BCBS patients will be considered self-pay. Following your visit, we will provide you with a superbill that you may submit directly to your insurance company to seek reimbursement based on your out-of-network benefits.
We are currently able to accept TRICARE.
To begin the verification process, please text us at 470-256-5777.
Please note: TRICARE covers office and virtual lactation consultations only. If you prefer an in-home consultation, a home visit convenience fee will apply, as this service is not covered by TRICARE.
Additionally, TRICARE allows a maximum of 6 total lactation visits per pregnancy/birth.
We are currently able to accept most United Healthcare and UMR plans.
To begin the verification process, please text us at 470-256-5777.
Please note: United AXA, Liberty, Oxford, and Golden Rule plans typically do not provide coverage for lactation consultations and would therefore be considered self-pay. Most other United Healthcare and UMR plans can generally be billed for services once insurance eligibility and coverage have been verified.
Due to recent changes in United Healthcare policies, a copay may apply for your baby’s care. Expected copays may range from $10 to $100, depending on your specific insurance plan and benefits.
If your insurance plan is not currently in-network with the plans we accept, appointments will need to be scheduled as self-pay. Following your visit, we will provide you with a superbill that you may submit directly to your insurance company to seek reimbursement based on your out-of-network benefits.
